JAM - Tai Chi Workshops

What is JAM?

JAM is the collaboration of Jacqueline Ansem, Anny Ploegmakers, and Marcela Astete.

They are Tai Chi Certified Instructors, each with over 30 years of experience. They were trained by Wee Kee Jin of the "School of Central Equilibrium" in New Zealand.

Purpose

  • Collaborating on the continuity of the Master Huang Sheng Shyan system in The Netherlands.
  • Developing a good body structure,
  • Increasing awareness of the connections in your body
  • Achieving greater relaxation of body and mind.
  • Easing transition to advanced workshops such as those by Wee Kee Jin and Paul Renall.

What to Expect?

In four workshops, we will:

  • Deepen the short form of the Cheng Man-ching form, following Master Huang Sheng-Shyan's system. Each workshop will cover one section of this form.
  • Focus on Tai Chi principles and intensely train the details of this specific form. We will learn to apply the principles through the form and pushing hands exercises.
  • Three teachers, three advanced Tai Chi practitioners as training partners. This allows for a lot of personal support.
  • Emphasis on: relaxing, feeling, and experiencing the flow in the movements of the form.

For Whom?

  • For a Tai Chi practitioner with at least one year of experience, who wants to better understand the principles, execute the form more detailed, and enhance internal relaxation.
  • If you are a true beginner, we recommend our weekly classes.

Check the schedule for further information.

Workshop Contents:

  • Relaxation exercises
  • The 37 Yang Style form, focusing on one section per Sunday
